March 2010
Paw Paw Webbie begins to have chest pains...anxiety? Turns out that he needed a heart cath. followed by a five heart bi-pass! As he is recovering we are so thankful that the Lord is watching over him.
Halee, Cloe and Abbee were baptized on Sunday, March 7! How wonderful!
Avah-Lilee turned 2 on Wednesday March 10th...we included her birthday celebration on Sundays baptism celebration. Her cake was white with yellow and green with dainty paper daisies on top. The Filos Family gave a cute chocolate colored snugly bear and Grandma Carolyn gave her a furry light brown bear and Madame Alexander doll. Grandma Mary gave her a beautiful doll that she made herself. It has a navy blue dress on.

Cloe's 11th birthday was on the 1st! Her Daddy took her to Shoneys for supper. Halee, Cloe, Abbee and Arlee-Jane went around. When she arrived home she was surprised with gold and ivory decorations, a homemade cake by Dad with tall sparkling candles and streamers. Her gift was a sewing machine...a long awaited treasure! She and Halee began taking sewing lessons with Grandma Mary last year. Now they are certainly ready to get back to those. They always enjoy their time with her! That brings back memories of "crossing the field" when I was little to spend time with her. What treasured memories I have of my special times with her.
The home school group in Beaufort we have been attending hosted a Valentines party. In home economics Cloe and Halee were assigned to bake 2-3 dozen cookies each for a cookie swap. Yum Yum! That was a good party!
The spaghetti Valentine supper at church was sooooo much fun. I never expected to have such a great time. We had games that really made us work together as a family. All I can say is that I wish you had been there!
December 2009
I would tell you that December is a busy month for us...but aren't all of the months equally as plumply scheduled? Just a taste of events in Dec. 2009....Halee turned 14! We had a blast with our photo shoot to capture the perfect pose for her custom zebra themed invitations. When the party arrived there seemed to be zebra patterns everywhere we looked.
Arlee-Jane turned 4! I can't believe how quickly she has grown. Her favorite thing is still her "Hunny" doll. She really loves her. She got play dough from the Filos family...turned out to be a great kitchen distraction for both Avah and Arlee-Jane! She also received a book and stuffed cat set from Jax....wonderful idea too... she loves books so much already!
The snow kept Grandma Carolyn in Ohio for Christmas...but Joey, Charlie, Stacy, Justin and Holly made it for a fun celebration. It is March now and Ohio has been having snow every since Thanksgiving. - - Finally, it has stopped.
The Christmas gathering at Uncle Sarvis' house was casual and fun. It was a bit chilly outside. Everyone always has fun there. Seeing the cousins is wonderful. Shag totally cracked me up with his enthusiasm over our conversion van.
Our Christmas dinner at church was perfect. The girls really had a grand time. We always enjoy spending time with our church family at Bethlehem Baptist.
Nikki and Benny had their baby girl! Perfect blessing!
At some point the girls made cheese crackers. Avah got into it- literally! She had a lot of assistance from Arlee-Jane and Tabithah Filos.
The Big God conference was in Myrtle Beach from Dec. 30-Jan. 01. Rebekah Filos made Halee a surprise pie for the trip. The fire alarms sounded time after time at their hotel. Halee was wished a Happy Birthday on the wide screen at the conference.
There were a lot of things going on with seemingly no time to relax. If I remember anything else...I'll be sure to add to this post!
October 2009 Fall Frolic
Keep Up EASIER than Catch Up
Well...for months now I have been planning in my head all of the posts I wanted to "remember" to share with you all! Now everything is a big fog in my mind. For now on, maybe I keep this up to date instead of filling in the gaps days, weeks and months later.
