National Young Readers Day

This week was National Young Readers Week!

Many of you already know that Halee, Cloe and Abbee are writing books this school term. They are still in the process of putting things together to send to print. We had hoped to have them done before this week. I am sure it will be worth the wait when they are done.

So in lieu of our self published books we carried some great fall books to read to Mrs. Kennedy's first grade class at Northside Elementary School. The girls were confident in their presentations...and it showed! Admittedly I was proud. The students at NSE clearly enjoyed the animated presentation the girls provided them. The students were also given laminated book marks to use during their required reading time.

YOU will be happy for Halee, Cloe and Abbee that they have earned Celebrity reader awards for their willing participation in this week's activities. They will be presented their certificates at their promotion ceremony at term completion.

Mark your calendar now...OCTOBER 31st we will be hosting the Webster Academy Fall Frolic. We are pleased to invite you to join us. This will be a fun day. Beginning with the children arriving in their costumes...no scary, ugly or inappropriate attire please. This is not a halloween event....but instead a Christan, family friendly occasion! We will all be participating in field day adventures, a huge feast and if you are up to it....a fun game of kickball. This is sure to be a fun filled day. BTW, while you are here grab some cotton candy from Daddy and we are sending all of the children home with a yummy bag of goodies.
